and if the Senate nonconcur as to either or both they shall then send down for concurrence such person or persons, as shall be by them chosen; and so vice versa till a choice shall be made, and if no choice shall be effected on the day assigned aforesaid, the two houses shall have a right to assign a further time for that purpose from day to day, till said choice is effected. [proposition to exempt minors from poll tax - did not prevail.] Mr Estes of Westbrook, moved that a committee he appointed to consider the expediency of exempting minors from a Poll tax with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise - which motion did not prevail.

[Committee to fix salaries of Governor &c other state officers.] Ordered, That Messrs Redington of Vassalboro', Clap of Portland, Atherton of Prospect, Hooper of Paris, Norwell of Arundell, McCobb of Phipsburg and Batch of Lubec be a committee to consider what compensation the Governor and other State officers shall receive for their respective services, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise.
