This is therefore to authorize Major-General
Henry Dearborn to make such Certificate & endorse- ment on the back of each Commission thus circum- stanced, as will shew the alteration in the numerical order of the Regiment to which the Officer belongs, and will recognize his authority over the Company to which he was originally commissioned.
