[Legislature attend divine service] The Legislature being organized the President of the Conven-tion accompanied by the Treasurer and Secretary of State pro tem. and attended by the Sheriff of Cumberland and also accompa-nied by the two Branches of the Legislature proceeded to the Meet-ing House of the First Parish in Portland when the throne of grace was addressed by the Rev. Mr. Nichols agreeably to the appointment of the convention which formed the constitution of the State.
After which the Senate returned to the Senate Chamber & adjourned until the afternoon.
