[Order to notify Mr. Foote]
Order, that the Secretary of State pro tempore forthwith notify Erastus Foote Esq, that he has been duly & constitutionally elected by the people, a Senator for the County of Lincoln, & that he is requested, immediately [?] to attend & aid the Senate in his charge of public business.
[Report of committee on votes for Governor]
"The committee appointed to receive & examine the return votes given in the several towns & plantations for Governor made the following report. vig [?] The committee of both Houses to whom was referred the returns of votes for Governor, given in the several towns & plantations within this state. - Have attended to that service and rule leave respectfully to report - that they find the whole numbers of votes given in the several towns & plantations which have been duly returned to the Office of Secretary of State pro tempore to be twenty two thousand nine hundred & fourteen - Necessary to a choice - 11,458 and that the Hon. William King has 21,083 votes & he is chosen.
And the committee further report that they find no return for the town of Greenwood in the County of Oxford- All of which is submitted Mr. Moody for order [?] " Read & accepted & sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.
