And was declared elected in concurrence with the House
And on receiving sorting and counting the votes for a Major General in the 11th Division they were found to be as follows (viz.)
Whole number of votes -- 18 Necessary to a choice -- 10 Col. James McLellan had -- 14
and was declared elected whereby the Sen-ate non concurred [with the House] in the choice of Col. Isaac G. Reed of which the House was informed and this concurrence in the choice of Col. James McLellan requested.
