[Committee to enquire if the term of service of Hon. John Holmes, as Senator has expired &c&c]

Ordered, That Messrs Seaver and Green be a Committee with such as the House may join to enquire whether there be any official notice to either branch of the Government of this State, that the term of service of the Hon. John Holmes, as Senator of the United States will expire on the third day of March next; and if so to assign a day when the Legislature shall proceed to elect a Senator to represent this State in the Senate of the United States after said March next.
