No, 1- [underlined] Resolve [underlined] on the report of Alexander Campbell and others, a Committee, in behalf of this Common- -wealth to negociate and settle any misunderstand- -ing or differences with the Paßamaquoddy [Passamaquoddy - Kate told me to put this here so that it's searchable] Indians and those of the other Tribes connected with them Feb 10th 1795. -------------------------------------------------------------- Whereas, [bold] by a Resolve of the General Court haf[?]ed [passed] on the 20th day of June last, Alexander Campbell, John Allan and George Stillman were appointed a Committee, in behalf of this Commonwealth to negoci- -ate and settle any misunderstanding, dispute or difference which may subsist between this Commonwealth and the Paßamaquoddy Indians and those of [insertion mark] other tribes connected with them, with full honors and authority to lay out and assign to the said Indians any track of unlocated land belonging to this Commonwealth in the County of Wash-

-ington, not exceeding ten thousand acres, and also to pur- -chase any particular spot of ground or track of land for the use and convenience of said Indians, provided however, [clause underlined] that such purchase shall not exceed the sum of five hundred pounds:
