During the course of the War the time forgotten I shipped a board the ship called the [Malbeck] ( or [same] such name ) Capt... Ross Commander: the [mounted] 26 guns: Was a Continental Ship as I suppose: As I Shipped for 8 dollars [per] month + went into what was called the Penobscot Expedition, under [Saltonstall]: I was on board this ship three months: I am now under [reduced] circumstances & need the assistance of my Country for support. I never had any written discharge. -
