Ordered, that Jedediah Herrick of Hampden, John Wilkins of Orrington and Andrew Leach of Prospect be a committee to enquire into the causes which have operated to diminish the quantity of fish in the waters of the Penobscot Bay and River and report to the next Legislature and to report to the next Legislature such facts relating to the same as they may judge prosper, provided that the said Committee shall be of no expense to the State.
