Bill to incorporate the town of Carthage, came from the Senate with sundry amendments for concurrence – and the House concurred.

Bill – to incorporate the Proprietors of the Baptist Meeting House in Machias Port was referred on motion to Messrs Warren of Palmyra, Hill of Machias & Burr of Litchfield

Bill to change the names of certain Banks, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

The committee to whom referred the subject of considering the expediency of adopting means to give to the several towns & plantations in this State early information of the acts & Resolves of the Legislature &c reported a Resolve - & the report was accepted.

Resolve providing for a more speedy promulgation of the doings of the Legislative – was read once and ordered to lie on the table.
