Resolve respecting grants of Lands for public purposes, was laid on the table by Mr Bent of Bangor, and on motion referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – in addition to an act respecting enginemen, for fire engines and the extinguishment of fire, came from the Senate with amendments for concurrence – and the House passed the same to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the committee on Lotteries to inquire into the expediency of granting a Lottery to be called the State Lottery the avails of which shall be paid into the State Treasury, and when the several sums so paid in shall amount to one hundred thousand dollars, the same shall be appropriated for the promotion of primary schools in the several towns &c. and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the committee on Lotteries to inquire into the expediency of granting a Lottery for the removal of obstructions in Sebasticook river and improving the navigation thereof - & the House concurred.

Bill – an additional Resolve providing for the promulgation and distribution of the Laws and Resolves of the State, was read 1st & 2d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill – additional to the several acts no in force to organize govern and discipline the Militia, reported with amendments, was on motion referred to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.
