Bill additional to an act providing for the government of the State Prison, and for the punishment of convicts, reported with amendments, was immediately on motion referred to Messrs Longfellow of Portland, Abbot of Castine & Gowin of Montville

Bill – to establish the Kennebec & Androscoggin Canal Association, came from the Senate with sundry amendments for concurrence, and the House so far reconsidered their former vote as to adopt the amendments proposed by the Senate & passed the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence.

Bill – to incorporate the Saco Manufacturers Canal Company was reported by the committee to whom the subject was referred and then on motion referred to their next Legislature.

Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve relating to the Kennebec Road, was read twice and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill – to incorporate the Union Lodge, was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill – to authorize John Patten & others to maintain a Bridge over Cathance river, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote, was read 1st & 2d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
