[9] [Chaplain votes] to receive sort and count the votes reported that the whole number of votes given was 17 Necessary to constitute election 9 Revd Elijah Kellog had 13 who was declared duly elected, and, on motion the Secretary of the Senate was directed to notify the Reverend Gentleman of his election.
[order, respecting seats] On motion by Mr Williams, ordered that the Secretary of the Senate prepare nineteen tickets bearing corresponding numbers of the seats at this Board, excepting the number “nine,” and permit each member of the Senate to draw one ticket, and the number so drawn shall be the number of the seat to be occupied by the members respectively during this session.
