Bill to incorporate the proprietors of Calais Bridge came up with amendments, in which the Senate concurred and passed the Bill to be engrossed.-

The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table message from the Governor relatives to the amancipation of slaves in the United States.-

Mr. Wilkins from the committee on petition of John Attier and als. reported a Resolve authorizing the Governor to negotiate with the Penobscot Indians for the transfer of their Islands to the State, which was read and passed to be engrossed : sent down for concurrence : concurred.-
