[24] [1827] Governor’s message as relates to the Penobscot and its tributaries was read and passed in concurrence and Messrs Butman and Elwell were joined
[state printer] On motion by Mr Dennett ordered that the Senate will on their part elect by ballot a printer to do the necessary printing for the State the current political year and that tomorrow at eleven o clock be the time assigned for that purpose
[map & gazetteer] On motion by Mr Grover ordered that so much of the Governors message as relates to a good map and gazetteer with correct statistical accounts be referred to the committee on literature and literary institutions, sent down for concurrence - concurred
on motion by Mr Balham a message was sent to the Governor and Council notifying them that Amos Nichols had accepted the office of Secretary of State and was ready to be qualified
