Reports, on petition of Thomas Leigh of R. H Gardiner & als of Trustees of Readfield Religious & Charitable Society - granting leave for Bills, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Scammon & Kelsey with such as the House may join a committee to enquire into the expediency of altering the Laws relating to the payment of duties on Commissions of Justices of the Peace and Inspectors of fish - and the House concurred & Messrs Eaton of Bowdoin, Fogg of Limerick & Smith of Hollis were joined.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the committee on Militia & Military affairs to enquire into the expediency of appropriating ___ townships of the State Lands for the purpose of erecting a fund to be placed in the Treasury of the State to meet the expenses incident to the Militia with leave to report &c - and the House concurred.

Petition of Rufus Gilmore & als, proprietors, of Mill dams, in Union, taken from last years files of the Senate, referred in Senate to the committee on interior fisheries came down for concurrence - and the House concurred.
