John H. Thompson of Topsham, a deputy Sheriff for the County of Lincoln, who was directed to serve upon James M. Rogers a copy of the charges alleged against him for his removal from all offices he now holds under this State, made return that he had notified the said James M. Rogers to appear at the time and place, and for the purposes therein named, and given him in hand a true and attested copy of the said charges alledged [alleged] against him. - Read and sent down. -
