On motion by Mr Richardson, Ordered that the Secretary of the Senate notify Mark Harris Esq. that he has by the joint ballot of the two branches of the Legislature been elected Treasurer of State for the current political year. [right margin] Notice to M. Har- ris, Treasurer of State
On motion by Mr Grover ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be requested to take into consideration the expediency of authorizing Registers of Deeds to employ clerks, and also as to expediency of remitting to Registers of Deeds the 17 cents duty on each deed recorded when the amount received by a Register of Deeds for any one year does not exceed
