The Indians in the Township elect their Governor & Lieutenant Governor every four years. Governor John Francis at Pleasant Point sed that the former Governors Seem not to pay any regards to their wishes that after they have Signed for a man whom they wish to be agent, that some one would be put in whom they did not want, & he hoped it would not be done again. He said he knew they had been wronged but he did not know how to prevent it, he is old & wishes help. He has for a House a frame up & wants help enough from the State to finish it.
