[Bill - regarding Marriage]

Bill additional regulating marriage and for the orderly solemnization thereof came up amended for concurrence and the Senate concurred.

[Rem. Com. of town of Dexter]

Remonstrance of a Committee of the town of Dexter against the incorporation "the Christian School" in that town was referred in concurrence to the Committee on Parishes &c.

[Order of H of R Salmon Fishery]

Order of the House of Representatives that the Committee on Fisheries be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so altering the Law respecting the taking of Salmon as to allow the owners of nets at the mouth of Kennebec River longer to use them than the Law now prescribes with leave to report by Bill or otherwise was read and passed in concurrence,

[Resolved to aid Inha. of Fryeburg]

Resolve to aid the Inhabitants of Fyeburg on rebuilding & maintaining a free bridge across the Canal so called in said town was read a second time and the question on passing the Resolve to be engrossed ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the negative as follows

Resolve providing for clerk hire in the office of the Adjutant and Quarter Master Generals came up indefinitely postponed for concurrence and the senate committed the same to Messrs Williams, Miller & Emery.
