[Report on Petition]

Mr. Stebbins from the Committee on Petition of Thomas Clark and others for an additional term of the C.C. Pleas and S.J. Courts in the Oxford County, reported that the petitioners have leave to bring in a Bill: Read and accepted and sent down for concurrence.

[Resolves passed]

Mr. Ripley from the Committee on Engrossed Bills, reported that they had examined a Resolve for purchasing Greenleaf's Reports, & Resolve for providing for the Appointment of Commissioners to confer with the Directors of the American Asylum and Commissioners of other States, respecting the education of the Deaf and Dumb; and found them to be truly copied, and they were passed.

[Convention for choice of Treasurer]

The two Houses of the Legislature then met in Convention for the purpose of electing a Treasurer of State for the current political year. The whole number of Votes given was 148 and one Blank; Elias Thomas Esqr. had 148 Votes, and was declared elected. The two Houses then separated.
