The Order of this House, referring so much of the Governors Speech as relates to the Houlton road to the Committee who have under consideration so much of the same Speech as relates to the Kennebec & Canada Road, passed on the 5th inst came from the Senate nonconcurred - and the House receded from their vote passing said order.
An order came from the Senate for concurrence, referring so much of the Governors Speech as relates to the Kennebec or Canada Road to Messrs Herrick, Parsons & Cushman with such as the House may join - and the House concurred & Messrs Redington of Vassalboro' Allen of Norridgewock, Moore of Anson, Howard of Leeds & Shaw of Wiscasset were joined.
An order came from the Senate for concurrence referring so much of the Governors Speech as relates to the Houlton road & other internal improvements (except the Kennebec on Canada road already committed) with the documents relating thereto to Messrs Williams and Balkam with such as the House may join - and the House concurred & Messrs Fuller of Augusta, Wellington of Albion, Vance of Baring, Swan of Portland & Carpenter of Howland were joined.
An order came from the Senate for concurrence, referring so much of the Governors Speech as relates to the location of the seat of Government & for providing public buildings, and the documents relating thereto, to Messrs Dennet, Kavanagh & Weston with such as the House may join - and the House concurred and Messrs Hutchinson of Hartford, Burnam of Orland, Foster of Machias Hazeltine of Searsmont & Bennock of Orono were joined
