Senate January 26th. 1825.

[Committee on the Inspection of Beef, Pork, Butter &c]

On motion of Mr. Dunn, Ordered that Messrs. Dunn, Scammon and Fairbanks be a committee to inquire what alteration ought to be made, if any, in an Act entitled “An Act respecting the Inspection of beef, pork, butter and lard, and for other purposes;” with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. -

Bill to incorporate the Saco Iron Works Company,” was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d. reading. -

Bill additional to an Act to incorporate the President, Directors and Company of the Cumberland Bank”,

Bill additional to An Act to incorporate the President, Directors and Company of the Casco Bank,” and

Bill additional to an Act to incorporate the President, Directors and Company of the Bank of Portland”, were taken up and committed to Messrs. Churchill, Southwick and Parlin. -

Bill to incorporate Central Lodge,” was read twice and passed to be engrossed: sent down for concurrence. -

Bill to incorporate Somerset Bank,” and

Bill to incorporate Vassalborough Bank,” were read a 2d. time and passed to be engrossed: sent down for concurrence.

The Senate reconsider their vote by which they passed to be engrossed the Bill
