On motion by Mr Cushman, ordered that Messrs Cushman Emerson and Page with such as the House may join be a Committee to wait on the Hon. Enoch Lincoln and inform him that he has been elected by the people Governor of the State of Maine for the current political year and that the two houses of the Legislature are ready to convene in the chamber of Representatives that in their presence he may take and subscribe the oaths of office required by the constitution and to receive any communication he may be pleased to make to them. The House concurred and Messrs Holmes of Alfred, Adams of Portland and Juggles of Thomaston, Fishe of Fayette and Stevens of Bluehill were joined.
