Resolve respecting the Managers of the Sullivan Bridge Lottery was read once & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 2nd reading.

Bill – to alter the name of New Charleston, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill – to change the name of the second Territorial Parish in North Yarmouth, was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Mr Smith laid upon the table the following preamble and order - viz,

Whereas this House at the commencement of the session directed a seat to be provided on the left of the Chair for the accomodation [accommodation] of the Editors of the several papers printed in Portland to enable them to report the proceedings of the House – And whereas Nathaniel Low, the Editor of the American Patriot has abused the privilege extended to him by publishing in said paper of the 16th instant an article reflecting in very indecorous terms on the manner in which a member has discharged his duty on the floor of this House – therefore,

Ordered, that the said Nathaniel Low, Editor of the American Patriot be no longer admitted to the privilege of the seat thus provided, and that the Door Keeper cause this order to be executed – and the same was ordered to lie upon the table.

Adjourned until nine o clock tomorrow morning.
