Ordered on motion of Mr. Bourne, That a committee appointed to inquire whether any alterations are necessary in a Resolve passed Jany 28 1822 providing for the promulgation of the laws of the State, with leave to report &c and Messrs Bourne of Kennebunk, Merrill of Sidney & Sanborne of Limerick were appointed said Committee
Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their files the petitions following & send to this House viz. William Maxwell Junr & als - Benja Whitney & als - Lot Rider Junr & als - Ellis B Usher & als a Committee of the town of Hollis - Read and passed - Sent up
The Committee to whom was recommitted the subject of contracting with some suitable person to perform the duties of Messenger &c, with special instructions, reported that they have employed Thomas Baker to perform those duties by himself, a Page and one other person at a compensation of Four dollars per day - and the report was accepted.
