Sir yours of the 18 Dec'r was duly re'd stating the amount of taxes on J. Ewins land inclosed is seven dollars which I wish you would see the taxes discharged & I will make it right a nother time you menchend that circumstances made it necessary to advertise all the nonrisident and for sale next March for the state & county tax.  I dont under stand why it should be advertised for sale but if it is so I hope you will attend to it & save every cost as Mr. Ewins has head a good deal of truble about it & I will see you well paid for all your truble -- you menchend that you wrote me in a former letter about an exchange & wish to know what I thought of it  I dont recalled of ever receiving any such information from you & I cant find any such in any letter from you  if you will have the goodness to write me what [words "it was" crossed out] the exchange is after re'd this you will oblidge me for if the exchange is to put of the land I think it might be complide with
