[Vote reconsidered] On motion of Mr. Kingsbury, the vote whereby the Senate accepted the report of the Joint Standing Committee on claims, on the petition of Samuel Searle, was reconsidered and said report was laid on the table.
[Bill establishing a Fire Department in Portland] An act establishing a fire department in the Town of Portland, came up from the House amended, and the Senate reconsider their vote passing said Act to be engrossed, adopt the amendment proposed by the House and pass said Bill to be engrossed as amended in concurrence.
