Duties - - make recommendations to trustees of University of Maine relating to the appointment of a professional, clerical or other assistants, location of educational television stations, and construction and equipment of said stations; give advice to trustees of University of Maine for the educational television programs to be transmitted by the network. Members - - 1 representative of State Department of Education, 1 representative of University of Maine, and 5 citizens, all appointed by Governor with advice and consent of Council. Duties - - perform a study to the end that no qualified Maine youth should be denied the opportunity for higher education. Members - - 12 including President of University of Maine, Commissioner of Education, Commissioner of Economic Development, and 9 appointed by Governor including a president of a teachers’ college, president of a private college, principal of a vocational technical institute, member of Governor’s Advisory Committee on Education, executive of a junior college, member of the House of Representatives, member of the Senate, representative from industry, and representative from labor.
