The Committee on contested elections to whom was referred on the 22nd day of January last, the Remonstrances of Jairus Came & al against the admission of Richard Shapleigh to the right of a seat in this House as a Representative from the town of Berwick reported that the remonstrants have neglected to offer or furnish any evidence to support their remonstrance - and that upon the Inspection of the Certificate of election of said Shapleigh, it appears that said Shapleigh was legally & duly elected the Representative of the town of Berwick - and the Committee also reported a Resolve in the following words.
