The petition of the Trustees and overseers of Bowdoin college, for Legislative aid, was read and referred to the Joint standing committee on Literary Institutions. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

[Resolves finally passed.] The following Resolves were reported by the committee on Engrossed Bills, as correctly copied from the originals, To wit: Resolve in favour of Joel Miller. " in favour of Joshua Chamberlain. " in favour of Elkanah McLellan. " in favour of Ezra Hutchins. " respecting the town of Greenwood. " authorizeing the town of Whiting to raise money for the purpose of making and repairing highways - and the same were finally passed in concurrence.
