Mr. Shapleigh of Berwick moved to take up the consideration of the following Order offered by Mr. Boutette of Waterville on the 25th of Feby last to wit "Ordered that ----------- be a committee of this House to inquire into the expediency of asking the opinion of the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court as to the Construction of the 2d and 3rd sections of Article 4th, part first in the Constitution so far as it regards the number of Representatives required to be apportioned" and the question upon now taking up this Order was on motion taken by yeas and nays as follows - Yeas 84, Nays 29.
