On motion of Mr. Fessenden, Ordered, that the Inspector General of Beef and Pork be directed forthwith to return into the office of the Secretary of State in order that the same may be laid before this House, an account, under affirmation of all fees received by him in virtue of his said office, since his appointment thereto, distinguishing those fees received by himself personally and those received from his deputies and also a detailed statement of the sums paid by him for cutting weighing and packing and for coopering during the time aforesaid.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of providing by law that all disputes between towns relative to Jurisdictional limits may be hereafter settled by the Judicial department of the government, with leave to report by bill or otherwise - and the House concurred.

On motion of Mr. Clark of Hallowell, Ordered, that the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to consider the subject of further regulating by law appeals in civil actions before Justices of the Peace. Sent up for concurrence.
