On motion of Mr Cobb, Ordered that the Secretary of the Senate be directed to make up the Pay Roll of the Senate including Monday next.

The Conferees on the part of the Senate appointed to meet the Conferees appointed on the part of the House, relative to the disagreeing vote of the two Houses respecting the Resolve entitled a Resolve for locating and making a road over lands belonging to the State, connecting the Baring and Houlton road with the United States military Road, reported that having met and had free conference with those of the House, recommend that the Senate so far recede from their vote as to consider the following amendment viz: provided that said Agent shall survey the route for said road and lay the same out, giving street attention to the location thereof, and shall report his doings to the Governor and Council, who upon such report shall judge of the expediency of ordering said sum of money to be appropriated as aforesaid, and shall if they think it expedient, order the same to be paid agreeable to the foregoing Resolves, and not otherwise. Also in the first line of the fourth Resolve, by striking out the word "nine" and inserting eight.
