On motion of Mr. Talbot, Ordered that the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary be requested to enquire into the expediency of authorizing by law any town in this state to raise such sums of money in making and repairing its public roads as they may think necessary and that the same be assessed upon the polls and estates, and collected in the same manner as other cash taxes are collected with leave to report by Bill or otherwise.
