The detachment of 1311 men including officers, required from this Division, will be immediately levied conformable to the General Orders of the 14, instant, herewith transmitted -- Brigadier Generals, Wood and Chandler will accordingly cause the details therein laid on their respective brigades to be regularly made, without the least delay, from the rosters and rolls of the regiments and corps, from which they are to be detached: that the whole be formed into companies, and the infantry into battalions and regiments, organized and officered respectively according to the present militia system, having regard to the local residence of the men, in this formation that the officers and men be properly armed & equipped for service, expressly notified of their designation, & held in readiness to move at a moment's notice.  As soon as the detachment shall be completed as aforesaid, immediate returns of their organization, with the names of the officers, &c agreeable to printed forms and rolls, which will be transmitted to the Brigadier Generals, are to be made to the orderly office of the Division.

The Major General confides in the patriotism & prompt attention of the officers of every grade to be sedulously exerted, on this urgent occasion, in completing the detachment, with all possible dispatch.  And he indulges a confident hope, that the early patriotic example of Capt. Vose [?], Augusta light infantry company, in tendering their voluntary services to Government, as a part of its quota, will be emulously followed by many others in the Division.
