235 On motion of Mr. Ingalls, ordered, that the Senate now go into secret session and the Senate chamber was cleared of Spectators and the doors accordingly closed.

On motion of Mr. Ingalls ordered that the confidential communication from the Governor together with the accompanying documents be committed to Messrs. Boutelle, Megquier, Emerson, Thayer and Sweat with such as the House may join.

A message was sent to the House informing them of the passage of the above order and transmitting the documents.

The following gentlemen were added to the committee by the House, to wit, Messrs. Clifford, Gerrish, McCrate, Williams, Steele, O'Brien, Bronson, Knowlton and Miller.
