Petition of the President and Directors of Lincoln Bank on the subject of a repeal of the law requiring the use of Check Plate upon the back of Bank Bills, came from the Senate referred to the Committee on Banks & Banking for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Petition of Josiah H Hobbs and of Isaac Farrar & others referred in this House on the 13th inst. to the Committee on Manufactures, came from the Senate nonconcurred & referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals - and the House concurred.

Petition of Neal D Shaw & als to be incorporated, for the purpose of improving the Schoodic river, for the driving of logs, came from the Senate referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals for concurrence & the House concurred.

Petition of Nathan Nutter & others a committee of the first Universalist Society in Portland, praying for an act making valid the doings of said Society, came from the Senate referred to the committee on the Judiciary for concurrence, and the House concurred.
