Capt Land on sick leave 127

Mar 12th We had an inspection at 10 oclock A.M. Capt Clark came to the regt

13th A fair day. No news of importence.

14th Squally. No news

15th We had a corps review. A rumor that we are going to move. We drew rations in the evening

16th We had orders for a general inspection and it turned out to be a corps review. All extra clothing is to be sent to the rear for safe keeping

17th Capt Land [Joseph F Land] started home on furlough. Thair was a horse race at division headquarters and J Pollard came to see me.

18th The 1st Maine Sharp-shooters has come to our regt to be consolidated with us (the 20th) Thair will be some commissioned officers musterd out of the service but we can't tell who it will be

19th No news.

20th Moses G Rice started for home in Bangor, Maine. He has his discharge for expiration of term of service. (3 years).
