COUNTY OF PENOBSCOT ss At a [handwritten] Circuit Court of Common Pleas begun and holden at Bangor within and for said Countyon the Fourth Tuesday of June A.D. 1820[handwritten]

On this twentyseventh[handwritten] day of June[handwritten] in the year 1820, personally appeared in Court being a court of record, established by a law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, made and passed on the eleventh[stricken] twentyfirst[handwritten] day of June A.D. 1811, and recognized by the Constitution of the State of Maine, and having "the power of fine and imprisonment," Aaron Bragdon[handwritten] aged sixtythree[handwritten] years, resident in Corinth[handwritten] in the County of Penobscot but later of [?] in the County of Somerset [handwritten] who being first duly sworn according to law, doth on his oath declare that he served in the Revolutionary War as follows, [handwritten] during the whole of the year 1776 under Captain Jonathan Nowell in the Regiment commanded by Colonel -- Prescott in the Massachusetts Line upon the Continental Establishment - also in two years 1782 + 1783 under Captain Cushman in the Regiment commanded by Colonel Joseph Vose as will by more fully appear by my original declaration made the twentysecond of April A.D. 1818 on which declaration my Certificate of Pension numbered 6901 was granted.

And I Aaron Bragdon[handwritten] do solemnly swear that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March 1818; and that I have not since that time by gift, sale, or in any manner disposed of my property, or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an Act of Congress, entitled "An Act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and naval service of the United States, in the Revolutionary War," passed on the 18th day of March, 1818; and that I have not, nor has any person in trust for me, any property or securities, contracts, or debts due to me; nor have I any income other than what is contained in the schedule hereto annexed, and by me subscribed; that my occupation and ability to pursue the same, together with the number and other particulars of my family, are in fact and in truth as is particularly described on the back hereof, also subscribed by me.

[handwritten] Schedule of family residing with me Aaron Bragdon who am by occupation an husbandman and which I am unable pursue but by a small degree by reason of the infirmities of age. My wife Ruth aged sixtythree very feeble son Aaron aged 19 years - rather poor health Schedule of real and personal estate belong to the subscriber necessary clothing + bedding excepted is not worth one dollar["is not worth...dollar" stricken] None And I am justly in debt to the amount of Fifty Dollars Aaron Bragdon

[stricken] I, THOMAS COBB, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, for the Third Eastern Circuit in the County of Penobscot in the State of Maine, do hereby certify that the foregoing [blank] that the schedule thereto annexed, are truly copied from the records of said Court.

And[stricken] I do[stricken] certify that it is the opinion of the said Court that the total amount of the property exhibited in the aforesaid schedule is none[handwritten] dollars and ---- cents.
