44 June 5th
We are in Camp to day waiting for orders. it has been rainy all day. nothing of eny interest has taken place to day.
June 6th
And we are still in camp waiting with patiance for marching orders which we are hourly expecting. It has cleard off warm and looks like good weather
June 7th Again we have received orders to march. left our camp at 11 oclock A.M. come down to the river and had to wait till day light the next morning before we could git around

came abought 1 mile down the river. tied up our horses and fed them and then we layed down on the ground and slept till 10 oclock.
June 8th
we saddled up our horses at 3 oclock P.M. and came abought one mile farthor and camped again for the night. we are not going eny farther till to morrow. we are going far as Martinsburg. we are waiting now for some more Cavalry to come over the river and then we are all going together but I do not know where. all that I know is that we have got marching Orders to go somewhere.
