[proposition for a convention to fill vacancies in Senate.] Mr. Foxcroft, came with a message from the Senate, to inform this House that the Senate propose the forming of a convention of both Houses this day, at half past ten o'clock; for the purpose of electing four Senators to fill the vacancies at the Senate Board.

[agreed to &c] Mr. Virgin of Rumford, was requested to inform the Senate of the concurrence of this House with the proposal of the Senate.

[Seats assigned to Senators &c. while in convention] Ordered, that the three front seats be assigned for the accomodation of the Senate while in Convention with this House.

[Report of committee to wait on the Governor] Mr. Emery, of the Joint Committee, on the part of this House appointed to wait on William King Esqr, and inform him, that he is elected Governor of this State; Reports, that he will attend both branches of the Legislature in convention, this day at one o'clock for the purpose of taking and subscribing the necessary oaths to qualify him for a constitutional discharge of the duties of Governor of the State of Maine.
