3. State of Maine Portland Wednesday January 10th 1821. Met according to adjournment.
[new members] The returns of several towns and plantations of members elected since last session were presented, and on motion committed to Messrs Dennet of Kittery, Vose of Augusta and Holland of Jay to be examined as to their legality.
[quorum of Senate] Mr. McDonald of the Senate came with a message to inform this House that a quorum of the Senate are assembled and proceeding on business.
[quorum of the House] Mr. Sprague of Hallowell is charged with a message to the Senate to inform that body that a quorum of the House of Representatives are assembled and proceeding on business.
[Copies of Constitutions for more of members.] Ordered that the Constitutions of Maine and of the United States published by order of this House be deposited in the Clerks desk at the disposal of the members during the present session.
