the last line of the 4th sec. instead of the word "said" - and also by inserting in the 23d Sec. 5 line from bottom, the words "place of" between the words "usual" and "abode" and request the concurrence of the House - and the Secretary withdrew.

The House concurred the Senate in their proposed amendments and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

[Committee to inform Governor that the Legislature have passed on all public business]

An order of the Senate appointing Messrs McDonald & Pierce with such as the House may join a committee to wait on the Governor and inform him that the Legislature have passed on all the public business before them and have agreed to adjourn without day and to enquire of him if he save any further communications to make to Legislature at its present Session, came down for the concurrence of the House - and the House concurred.

Commodore Tucker laid on the Clerks table the following order, [Note of thanks to Speaker] Ordered that the thanks of this House be presented to the Hon. Benjamin Ames for the able and impartial manner in which he has presided over the deliberations of this body the present Session and for the urbanity and gentlemanly deportment which has characterized his conduct toward the individual members " which was read by the Clerk and unanimously adopted.
