Committee appointed to enguire into the relative duties of the Clerks in the Secretary's and Treasurers Office - Report "that they find the duty of the Clerk in the Secretaries Office the most laborious but not so responsible as the duty of the Clerk in the Treasurers Office." Read and accepted.

[Resolve - pension to John Carleton 2d]

the engrossed Resolve granting a Pension to John Carleton junior came back from the Senate accompanied by the following message. In Senate March 17th 1821 The Senate have amended the engrossed Resolve granting a pension to John Carleton Junior by erasing the "Junior" and inserting instead thereof the word Second in the title and also in the Resolve; and respectfully request the concurrence of the House. Read and concurred
