Mr Virgin of Rumford has leave of absence for one week from this day.

[Bill - secure to owners their prop. in Logs &c]

Bill "to secure to owners their property in Logs, Masts, Spars, and other Timber, in certain cases" is taken from the Committee to whom the same was referred yesterday and committed to Messrs Reed of Waldoboro, Thrasher of Cape Elizabeth and Dunlap of Brunswick.

[Bill - Inholders, Retailers]

Bill "for the regulation of Inholders, Retailers and common Victualers" reported as taken into a new draft and amended." Read a first and second time and 10 oclock tomorrow assigned for a third Reading and committed to the Committee on Finance.

[Bill - attachment of property on Mesne process]

Bill "respecting attachment of property of Mesne process and directing the issuing, extending & serving of Executions" was called up and on motion committed to Messrs Abbot of Castine, Redington of Vassalboro' and Stebbins of Alna.

Bill "more effectually to secure Fire Engines from being injured" Read a first, second and third time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
