[Committee of the whole on Bill - to abolish C.C.C. Pleas]

The House again resolved itself into a Committee of the whole further to consider the report of the select Committee on the Bill "to abolish the Circuit Court of Common Pleas and transfer its powers &c," Judge Stebbins of Alna in the Chair; and after some time spent therein Mr Speaker resumed the chair when Mr Stebbins in behalf of the Committee reported that they had agreed to recommend to the House to accept the report of the select committee and thus to nonconcur with the Senate in their proposed amendments and that the House adhere to their former vote passing the Bill to be engrossed as sent to the Senate - which report of the Committee of the whole was accepted - 86 yeas - 50 nays.
