[Committee - apportionment of Senators & Representatives]

Ordered that Messrs Small & Green with such as the House may join be a committee to ascertain the number of Inhabitants of the State, exclusive of foreigners not naturalized and Indians not taxed agreeably to the provisions of the 2nd Sec. of the 4th Art. of the Constitution - to divide the State into Districts and apportion the Senators thereon thro' the State and to agree on the number of Representatives and apportion them upon the several Counties, Towns and Plantations in the State, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. In Senate March 14th 1821. Read and passed. Sent down for concurrence Read and concurred & Messrs Hobbs, Irish and Parsons are joined.

Ordered that Messrs Potter, Foxcroft and O.Brien be a Committee on the part of the Senate to confer with such as the House may join on the subject of difference between the two Houses on the Bill entitled "an Act respecting Wills and Testaments and regulating the descent of Intestate Estates In Senate March 14th 1821 Read and passed. Sent down for concurrence. Read and the House on their part appoint Messrs Emery , Wheeler & Reed.

Bill "to cede to the United States the jurisdiction of sites for Light Houses" being reported without amendments. In Senate March 15th 1821.
