[Committee of Conference on Sessions Bill report] Mr Wheeler from the Committee of conference on the disagreement of the two houses in amendments to the Bill in addition to an Act to establish Courts of Sessions reported that the Senate recede from their former vote non concurring with the amendments of the House - which report was accepted and the bill passed to be engrossed as amended by the House sent down -

Order of the House that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire into the expediency of abating the State Tax of the Inhabitants of Holton Plantation so called, in the county of Washington, with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise - came up for concurrence - Read and concurred -


Mr Witham from the Committee to whom was referred the expediency of repealing part of the Act against Pedlars &c - reported a reference of the subject to the next Legislature - Report read and accepted - Sent down for concurrence- Came up concurred -

Mr Bond from the Committee on New Trials reported that Augustus Peabody & others petitioners give notice of their Petition, by causing an attested copy thereof to be published in the Eastern Argus and Hallowell Gazette three weeks successively the last publication to be thirty days before the first Wednesday of the next Legislature - to the end persons interested may then show cause if any they have, why the prayer of said petition should not be granted - Report read and accepted - Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred -
