Petition of the Medical Society of Maine for the establishment of a General Hospital - referred in Senate to Messrs Holland Dunlap & Ripley with such as the House may join, came down for concurrence and Messrs Fessender of Portland, Blake of Phillips, Holt of Norway, Page of Hallowell & Poland of Standish were joined.

Remonstrances of plan. No 14 of Ellsworth of Trenton of Mariaville against petition of Joseph Williamson & als for the establishment of Belfast as a half shire town - of David W Haynes agst. plan. No 1. Penobscot. County were severally read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence -

Petition of James Whitney for a location of the lands granted Hopkins Academy - of Tonah Low for a remission of the penalty of a bond given Land Agent - were severally read & referred to the committee on State Lands. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of S. W. Gregg & als for a revision of the Militia law, was read & referred to the committee on the Militia & Military affairs. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Wasson & als of Brooksville for a law to regulate the fisheries in said town - was read & referred to the committee on interior fisheries. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Burgin & als for the erection of a jail at Eastport taken from the last years files & referred in Senate to Messrs Prime & Parsons of Lincoln with such as the House may join. The House concurred & Messrs Adams of Castine, hatchlings of Orland & McKown of Boothbay were joined.

Report on petition of Abraham Lord & Ichabod Warren granting a reference to the next Legislature, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.
